David received his MBA in finance from Thunderbird School of Global Business in Phoenix, Arizona. Post-graduation, he worked for CVS Health where he was responsible for managing their Third Party Administer (TPA) book of business and also worked on the new business team. He standardized many processes that are still in place today and was responsible for establishing the strategies around pricing, gaining and maintaining clients. He was also responsible for reviewing and negotiating client contracts and is highly experienced in understanding the language and tactics that pharmaceutical benefit management (PBM) companies use in order to boost their margins at the expense of the client. In this role, he worked closely with the sales team, legal team, and outside consulting firms to become an expert in understanding the PBM industry. It was his time with CVS Health that David realized that self-funded groups needed representation to combat the PBMs and started Stewart Lynn and Associates.
